Bennington Public School District is an independent suburban school system in north central Douglas County, outside of Omaha. The K-12 enrollment is 955 students in 2008, with 120 employees. Academic excellence reaches beyond the standards; while also offering numerous opportunities for extracurricular activities among students. Parent involvement is also encouraged through the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and Bennington Booster Club.
